Trace was founded in 2018 by Sorcha Lorimer. After working across digital transformation, data risk, and security, Sorcha experienced the friction and disconnect of data governance in organisations where privacy is often siloed in legal, but in fact, data flows across organisational functions. As a privacy professional herself, she wanted to build a more holistic offering and intuitive product which anyone could use to help shine a light on data flows, hosting locations, processing and risk in a more visual and meaningful way.
Trace is on a mission to deliver value for clients and cut through data governance complexity with easy to engage with privacy solutions – whether it’s through a managed platform or DPO support services. We have a global outlook and now work with UK-based organisations, as well as serving clients in Switzerland, France and North America.
