Malted AI

Edinburgh

Malted AI enables companies to implement custom-made AI solutions to solve complex and domain-specific problems where more general AI fails. We combine enterprises’ domain expertise with our world-class knowledge distillation technology to develop specific Small Language Models (SLMs) to achieve pinpoint accuracy with 10 – 100x cost savings.

We are experts at optimising a network of Small Language Models trained on high-quality domain-specific data, enabling our solutions to adapt to specific enterprise problems and constantly improve automatically.

To do this for many global customers, we are building a world-leading automatic distillation platform and aim to become the thought leader in this enterprise space

Based on Malted AI’s founders (Iain, Carlos, and Fed) shared belief that smaller, specialised LLMs are required to deploy AI at scale, they founded Malted AI in 2023 with the backing of leading VCs and angels.

The founding team are leading PhDs with demonstrated expertise in applying LLMs to real-world information problems. The founders recently won the multi-million-dollar Amazon Alexa Challenge, beating 125 of the leading AI teams from around the globe.

Since Malted AI’s origins, a high-performing team has made significant commercial and technology strides to enable enterprises to adopt and scale the use of AI to solve their highest-value problems.
