What we do

We develop and enable collaborative innovation across the fintech ecosystem by facilitating and encouraging connections. We encourage collaborations between large established financial services institutions and fintech firms, as well as facilitating connectivity with universities, technology and services providers, public body agencies and regulators.

We drive research and innovation through the implementation of our fintech Research & Innovation Roadmap, centred on four strategic priorities: Open Finance Data, Climate Finance, Payments and Transactions, and Financial Regulation. We connect fintech firms, financial institutions, academia, regulators, and government to drive economic growth, creates employment opportunities, and strengthens Scotland’s reputation as a leading fintech cluster on the global stage.

We work closely with universities across Scotland to develop tailored fintech programmes. We’re here to support the development of skills and talents amongst students and people who are looking to reskill or upskill to face an ever-changing job market.

We’re working with our partners at Scottish Development International and the UK Department for Business & Trade to connect with other fintech hubs and organisations around the world. These connections not only help to extend the reach of Scottish fintechs looking to target new markets but also increase the probability of international fintechs joining us in Scotland.
