Money Dashboard was founded in 2010 by a small team passionate about making the often-confusing world of personal finance more open, transparent and accessible for everyone.
At the time that the company was first founded, consumer trust in banks was at an all-time low as a result of the financial crash. This created a population of consumers who had a need for new, innovative tools that could help them make the most of their financial situation.
More recently, the Money Advice Service reported that 1 in 5 consumers is unable to read a bank statement and that 21 million consumers have less than £500 in savings, leaving them unable to deal with unexpected bills. This large consumer base is still being underserved by traditional financial services providers.
Money Dashboard’s vision remains clear today as the company is on a mission to help people from every walk of life be happier and more successful by putting them in control of their finances.
